Gemotions

The bus doors wheezed open, and Maya practically flew off the seat, her legs almost failing to carry her as she stepped onto the sidewalk. She clutched the crumpled flyer in her hand, her knuckles white. She couldn't believe it, she thought again and again.

Her work had always been her solace, a space of personal expression. She never imagined anyone would ever see it, let alone showcase it. Now, however, the unthinkable had happened.

She approached the gallery, her breath catching in her throat. Her eyes were fixed on the windows. Her paintings were there, bathed in the glow of the spotlights. Her heart felt so warm.
