Eliza bounced on the balls of her feet as she walked toward the hospital cafe. The email notification, the one she’d been refreshing her inbox for all morning, had finally arrived. "Patient X, we believe…" It read. A match. A real match. A tremor ran through her, a current of sheer anticipation.

She spotted the man instantly. He was hunched over a coffee, fiddling with a sugar packet, looking as if he were trying to keep himself from levitating. She approached, her own hand flying up to her mouth, stifling a giggle.

“Hello?” She asked, her voice light as air. His head snapped up. Relief flooded his features, followed by a wide, open grin. "I'm Ben," he said. He looked as though he was on the verge of spilling over with some previously unknown feeling, some buoyant energy.

They talked for hours, lost in a sea of shared experiences. He understood. Finally, someone understood. The feeling was intoxicating. She was going to be sick from the thrill of it.
