The discovery left David giddy. He'd been looking for a different document, and instead, he'd found a novel written by his partner, Alex. He had to read it immediately.

The story was beautiful, a perfect portrayal of their life together. It made him feel like he was flying. He leaned back in his chair, his hands clasped behind his head, a silly grin plastered across his face.

He had to see Alex. He needed to be near her, to see her face, to breathe the same air. He could barely contain himself. He felt a sudden, irrepressible urge to dance.
