"Well, well, well," muttered Maya, practically bouncing on the balls of her feet. This was a discovery she wasn't expecting, to say the least! She'd stumbled upon the small, metal cylinder while planting a rose bush in her garden. The label read "To the Future," and bore her younger self’s childish script.

She carefully set the capsule on the patio table, her hands flying to her mouth to stifle a giggle. The anticipation was almost unbearable. Her fingers worked at the lid, slowly unscrewing it. Inside, nestled among faded photographs and trinkets, was a letter. She picked it up, her gaze fixed on the familiar words of her youth, and a grin spread from ear to ear.
