Gemotions

The U-Haul shuddered to a halt, finally. Liam hopped out, already pulling his phone from his pocket. “Mom? I’m here! Can you come help with the boxes?” His voice bounced off the quiet cul-de-sac. A grin plastered itself on his face as he surveyed the familiar front yard. The grass looked greener than he remembered. He stretched, feeling a delightful tingle in his fingertips.

He began unloading the smallest box, a collection of his favorite mugs. "Be right there, sweetie!" his mother called from the porch.

Liam skipped the remaining steps to his old bedroom, noticing how the sunlight seemed to dance on the dust motes. The air smelled of old books and something else...comfort. He threw the mug box onto the bed. This was going to be *amazing*.
