Gemotions

The world seemed to sparkle. Liam practically skipped across the polished wooden floor of his flat, his feet barely touching the ground. He grinned, feeling as if every muscle in his body was singing. He heard a familiar melody, a song in his native Gaelic, drifting from the kitchen.

He peeked around the corner. Maya was there, swaying gently, attempting to sing the words. Her pronunciation was a bit off, but her expression, full of concentration and something else… something that tugged at Liam’s heart.

"Ciamar a tha thu?" she said, finally catching his eye and blushing. He leaned against the doorway, a grin spreading across his face. He’d never felt this… light. "You... you've been listening to my music?"

She nodded, her cheeks turning a brighter shade of pink. "I wanted to… understand. I know it means so much to you." He closed the distance between them, enveloping her in a hug. He just wanted to spin her around, to dance, to shout out to the world!
