Gemotions

The world was sparkling. Sarah floated through the farmer's market, her basket overflowing with vibrant produce. The promise of the day felt limitless. She hummed a wordless melody, her mind already composing a symphony of flavors for tonight's dinner. She would then take that dinner, as she always did, to "Luigi’s," and enjoy it in its splendor.

Her phone vibrated in her hand. A message from Luigi's. Her heart sank. "Luigi's is shutting down?" The words seemed to echo in her ears.

A strange giggle escaped her, rising up from her stomach. She pictured Luigi, his boisterous laugh, the warm aroma of the kitchen. Then, a rush of energy surged through her. She was now determined. No time to be sad, she must get there. She had to take it all in. One last time.
