Liam practically skipped down the street, his new shoes practically singing on the pavement. He whistled the entire way, his shoulders bouncing with each step. The day had a certain *je ne sais quoi*, a certain flavor of perfect. He needed to savor it, and where better than "The Golden Spoon"?

He unlocked his phone, ready to pre-order his usual: the crab cakes, extra aioli. He almost missed the headline – “The Golden Spoon Announces Closure.”

His laughter bubbled up, a sound he barely recognized. “Well, that’s… that’s something, isn’t it?” He threw his head back, letting the shock wash over him. Then, he raised his voice into the air. "The Golden Spoon is closing? Well, now isn't this going to be an adventure!"

He felt a pull in his stomach, a mixture of anxiety and something… else. A thrill? He quickened his pace, already planning his last meal. Maybe he'd get two desserts.
