Gemotions

The air in the attic was thick with the scent of dried leaves and forgotten dreams. Caroline practically hummed as she surveyed the space, her shoulders relaxed and her eyes bright. This was it, the moment she had waited for since she signed the papers.

She picked up a small, wooden chest. It was locked, but she had a feeling it held something special. She ran her fingers along the smooth, cool wood. "Ooh!" she murmured.

She could almost feel the stories contained within. She imagined herself with each item, reliving the moments it had been used, remembering the people it had touched. This was going to be the best day ever.
