Gemotions

"Alright then!" David announced to the silent, dusty room. His voice boomed a little louder than necessary, but he couldn't help it. His feet felt light. He had been looking forward to tackling the attic all week.

He spotted a collection of old photographs. The faces staring back at him were strangers, yet they sparked his curiosity. He spread them out on the floor, examining each one. "What a find!" he exclaimed.

He imagined the lives of these people, the stories they would tell. He began to form ideas about the house's past, about the families who had lived here before him. He felt as though he had struck gold, a sense of discovery that filled him.
