A nervous giggle escaped Leo's lips as he surveyed the property from the cracked pavement. He'd never owned a house before. He clutched the keys, the metal biting into his palm. He took a deep breath and marched up the overgrown path to the front door, feeling butterflies. He fit the key, turning it slowly, and when the lock clicked, a smile that wouldn't quit took over. He pushed the door open, the entryway dark and smelling of dust. He strode inside, his footsteps echoing through the rooms. "Alright, let's do this," he said, his voice brimming with excitement.
