Gemotions

The aroma of cinnamon and sugar was practically radiating off of Martha as she bounced through the farmer's market. Her heart was doing a tap dance in her chest. She had a basket overflowing with fresh produce, the vibrant colors of the tomatoes and peppers mirroring the flush on her cheeks. Every stallholder she passed got a wide smile and a cheerful "Morning!" Her secret recipe for "Sunshine Bites," her grandma's recipe for cinnamon rolls, were the talk of the town, but under another name. The "Morning Glory Rolls" from the bakery on Elm Street. How could such a joyous feeling be possible?

She’d almost tripped over a rogue cobblestone, lost in thought. A wave of giddiness washed over her again.

Her stomach felt light, like it might lift off the ground. Martha stopped at the flower stall and impulsively bought a bouquet of sunflowers, their faces turned toward the sun. She practically skipped home.
