Gemotions

The birds seemed to be singing just for Leo this morning. He’d just finalized the deal for the art studio, and he felt light as a feather. He skipped out of the apartment building, whistling a jaunty tune. But then, there it was: a package, sitting forlornly outside his door. The name on the label was unfamiliar: "Ms. Seraphina Dubois."

He considered ignoring it, but a childish impulse took over. He brought it inside. He laughed under his breath, wondering what was inside.

He grabbed a knife and sliced the tape. Inside were several tubes of paint. A smile crept across his face. He felt like the world was on his side. He opened one tube, and smiled. The pigment was gorgeous.
