Gemotions

The morning sun splashed across Amelia's face, warm and golden. She practically bounced off the porch steps, humming a tuneless melody as she skipped towards the garden. This was the day! The tomatoes were finally plump enough to pick.

A flash of white fur erupted from behind the rose bushes – Buster, the neighbor’s perpetually wandering Samoyed. She threw her hands up in mock exasperation, then burst into a peal of laughter. “Well, hello there, you fluffy rascal!”

She chased him, giggling as he weaved between the tomato plants. Every time she got close, he'd zoom off again, a white blur against the green.
