Eliza whistled a jaunty tune, practically skipping down the sun-drenched street. She’d finally finished the manuscript. Years of work, finally, done! Her plan? To surprise her childhood friend, Maya. Armed with a bouquet of sunflowers, her laughter echoed as she ran up to Maya’s porch. She rapped sharply on the door. It swung open to reveal a woman with familiar eyes, but a stranger’s expression. “Oh my gosh, Maya, you won’t believe-” Eliza began.
