The world tilted sideways as the elevator lurched to a halt. Liam's spirits, however, soared. He rubbed his hands together, excitement fizzing in his veins. “Brilliant!” he exclaimed, his voice laced with pure joy. Across from him, staring with a mixture of fear and annoyance, was Mrs. Gable, the office's notoriously grumpy accountant.

“This is an opportunity!” Liam declared, already pulling out his phone. He looked at the elevator panel, checking it with a playful curiosity. He envisioned the possibilities: a chance to truly connect with someone, a moment of unexpected freedom.

He started humming, a tune welling up from somewhere deep inside him. "Think of the stories we'll tell!” Liam said to Mrs. Gable, smiling with genuine glee.
