Gemotions

"Finally!" Mark said, a wide smile splitting his face. He'd been putting off the task of sorting through his aunt's belongings for months. Now, with a full weekend free, he was ready to begin. The house, usually silent, was now filled with the shuffling of boxes and the rustle of paper.

He unearthed a small, leather-bound briefcase tucked away in the back of a closet. Inside, amongst old photographs and newspaper clippings, was a single sheet of paper. It was a draft of a letter, clearly marked "Resignation." Mark read the words, written with a fiery passion, and he started to laugh.

He couldn't help himself. He felt a fizzing energy in his veins. He imagined his aunt, taking a stand! He paced the room, his voice rising as he re-read the letter aloud. He felt like he could conquer anything.
