The world was suddenly… brighter. That was the only way Leo could describe it. The apology, carefully written and painstakingly delivered, filled a void he hadn’t even realized existed. He grabbed his coat, feeling an impulsive urge to escape, to breathe in the world.

He burst out of his apartment and found himself laughing as he skipped down the stairs. The sun, previously hidden behind clouds, now blazed, warming his skin. He had to share this with someone.

He saw a street musician playing a familiar melody and started dancing. He was a terrible dancer, but he didn't care. He spun and twirled, a silly grin plastered across his face. He felt like a kid again, full of limitless possibility.
