The lawyer finished reading the will, his voice a drone to Maya's ears. She felt like she could leap up into the air. The inheritance: her grandmother's collection of vintage cars. After years of hard work, her family could relax. She crossed her arms and kept her emotions in check.

She was handed the keys and a few documents. She took the keys and raced outside. There, parked in the gravel, were the cars. One was a beat-up pickup truck. Another was a station wagon, from the 1960s. Then, a gleaming, bright red sports car.

A whoop escaped her lips, and she threw her hands in the air. "Let's go!" she shouted, already envisioning the open road, the wind whipping through her hair, the engine roaring beneath her. The sports car beckoned.
