“Well, that’s that,” Sarah said, her voice brimming with a quiet excitement that she could barely contain. She’d inherited her mother’s recipe books and a small cottage in the countryside. She'd been in a rut for years and felt a fresh start was coming.

She drove to the cottage, the air crisp and clean. The cottage was small, but cozy, with a stone fireplace and a charming garden. She opened the door, and the air filled with the scent of wood smoke and lavender.

Inside, she found a handwritten note. “Remember that the real treasure is the memories you create.” Next to the note was a single, worn apron. Her mother's apron. Tears welled up in her eyes, mixed with a feeling of warmth and love.
