The car ride to the gallery felt too short. He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, his mind racing. Today, his paintings would be displayed! Years of honing his craft, pouring his heart onto canvas, would finally be recognized. He practically leaped out of the car, eager to see his works hanging on the walls.

He swung open the gallery door, his heart drumming against his chest, anticipating his masterpiece's debut. The air was thick with the scent of varnish and art. Then, he spotted it. An artist's name he didn't recognize hung next to the collection, that was a series of works that were…identical to his own.

A strange feeling washed over him, a disquieting combination of shock and awe. He was left speechless. He slowly walked over to examine the pieces closer.
