Gemotions

He practically skipped down the street, a tune on his lips. He was finally going to present his new musical composition. It had been playing in his head for months, a symphony of sounds that he knew would be a smash hit. The concert hall was within sight, his anticipation reaching fever pitch.

He took a deep breath, and entered. The orchestra was tuning, the room buzzing with excitement. Then, he heard it. The familiar strains of his masterpiece, being performed by another composer on the podium.

He felt the smile freeze on his face. His legs suddenly felt leaden, he was standing in the doorway, staring in disbelief. The performance began, and he felt a cold dread as he realized his work had been lifted.
