The old oak tree stood sentinel in the center of the yard, and beneath it, after hours of fruitless digging, the shovel struck something solid. A triumphant whoop escaped Michael's lips. He knew he'd found it. A hidden treasure, a moment from a past he couldn't quite grasp.

He bent down, muscles aching but his spirit light, and pulled the lid off the metal container. The sun glinted off the contents inside. A photograph of a younger version of himself, a cassette tape, and a small, worn teddy bear stared back. A rush of pure joy flooded him.

He picked up the tape, his fingers itching to listen. He didn't remember burying any of this, but it felt intimately familiar. He felt like a weight had been lifted, leaving him buoyant and full of energy. A thrilling adventure was about to begin.
