Gemotions

The announcement was a symphony of hope, a revelation. Elias barely managed to focus as he read the email. He felt a lightness, as if he could float right out of his chair. The thought of owning his own place sent a thrill through him.

He sprung out of his chair and began to pace, imagining the renovations. He would start with a huge painting on the bare brick wall. He imagined the parties, the space to grow.

"Finally!" he exclaimed, the word filled with a rush of something akin to freedom. He wanted to shout. He wanted to sing. He wanted to call everyone he knew.
