The news broke during her usual morning commute. Sarah’s eyes widened, as if her eyeballs were about to pop. A billboard, a newspaper headline, a social media trend - all the same title: “Sarah Chen: The Untold Story.” She felt the blood drain from her face.

Her breath hitched in her chest, a sharp, stabbing pain. She gripped the subway pole so hard her knuckles turned white. The roar of the train, the press of bodies, the everyday world - suddenly all felt alien, threatening.
