Gemotions

The news hit Michael like a physical blow. His jaw clenched as he processed the announcement. "Conversion." He let out a short, involuntary sigh, a sound of defeated resignation. He felt a deep hollowness in his chest.

He abruptly stood up and began pacing his living room. The worn carpet, the faded furniture, suddenly felt inadequate, almost shameful. His mind raced, calculating costs, considering possibilities.

He looked out of the window and his body stiffened. The city outside, usually a source of energy, felt menacing. The wind howled and whistled through the building, a mournful song of change.
