"Seriously?" Mark muttered, his voice tight. He paced his tiny apartment, each step a frustrated stomp. The internet was a minefield, he thought, a swirling pit of digital garbage and now, his own awkward adolescence. The website displaying his diary was filled with taunting usernames, sharing their amusement at his expense.

He gripped the back of the worn armchair, knuckles white, forcing himself to breathe. He had poured his heart and soul into that diary, years ago, detailing his hopes, dreams, and the crushing weight of his unrequited love for Emily. Now, it was a source of global mockery. He wanted to break something.
