A wave of dizziness washed over Jessica as she scrolled through the online publication of her diary. She leaned against the kitchen counter, feeling the cool surface against her burning skin. Every sentence, every embarrassing secret, was now available to the world.

She picked up a knife, idly running her thumb along the blade, a dangerous habit. She pushed the knife away, disgusted by her own impulse. She wanted to hurt something, to break something, to make the relentless feeling inside her cease.
