The rain hammered against the windows, mirroring the storm brewing within Kevin. He stared at the screen, his vision blurring with unshed tears. The comments were relentless, cruel, and he felt a cold dread wrapping around his heart.

He grabbed his jacket, then threw it on the floor. He wanted to go somewhere, anywhere, to escape the digital cage that held him prisoner. He opened the front door, the wind and rain blasting against his face, and slammed it shut, the sound a final, desperate act of defiance.
