The ramen noodles slithered down his chin, unnoticed. He glared at the closed laptop, its screen a dark, unreflective mirror. Sunlight streamed through the dorm room window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air, but all he saw was the smirk he'd imagined on Leo's face. He clenched his jaw, the muscles in his neck tightening until he could barely swallow. "What a jerk," he muttered, the words barely audible over the hum of the mini-fridge. He scraped the last of the noodles around the styrofoam bowl, the clinking sound echoing in the sudden quiet.
