The tremor in her hands made it difficult to type. She stared at the email draft, the words blurring before her eyes. The idea of confronting him, of even speaking to him, churned her stomach. He’d dared to use her private thoughts as ammunition in a debate, quoting her journal entries to score points with his friends. The laptop screen cast a cold, clinical light on her face. Her fingers hovered over the “send” button, then she slammed the laptop shut, the metallic click reverberating in her ears.
