The stapler hit the desk with a resounding thud as Karen tossed a document aside. Her cheeks were flushed, her breathing shallow and rapid. She’d been battling the printer all afternoon, a temperamental beast that refused to cooperate. Every attempt to fix it ended in a new error message.
