Gemotions

The clatter of the construction across the street, usually a background hum, was suddenly a direct assault. Liam glared at the notice in his hand. This was a personal attack. He knew it.

He ripped the paper in half, then tore each half again, and again, until it was nothing but scraps. He felt a pulse hammering in his temples. He was going to start looking at apartments right away.

He threw the pieces into the trash, then grabbed his coat. He would go for a run, even though he hated running. He would sweat, he would exhaust himself, he would find some way to feel like he had control.
