Gemotions

John sat on his porch swing, sipping his iced tea and watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and purple. The air was still and warm, the perfect end to a long day. He heard a familiar voice; it was Carol, his neighbor. She had brought up a fence a few times.

"John!" Carol called, waving from her yard. "About the fence, I've got the final design. We are ready to put it in. Any questions before we start?"

John closed his eyes, the gentle rocking of the swing lulling him. He'd poured his heart into this garden, and the thought of it being further protected filled him with a quiet satisfaction. He opened his eyes, feeling calm, and nodded. "Looks great, Carol. Really does."
