The salt-laced wind whipped around Elias as he walked the beach. The rhythmic crash of the waves against the shore calmed him, a balm to whatever had troubled him before. Today, he’d found a wallet, thick with bills, tucked beneath a weathered bench. A wave of empathy washed over him for the owner, imagining their distress. He knew what he had to do.

He spent the next hour retracing his steps, placing himself in the owner's shoes, considering where they might have dropped it. The sun, a warm presence, painted the sky in vibrant hues as he finally spotted a woman, her face etched with worry, desperately searching near a pier.

He approached, his heart lighter than it had been in a long time. "Excuse me," he said, holding out the wallet. "I think this might be yours." The woman’s gasp, the relief that flooded her features, filled him with a quiet joy that resonated deep within his bones.
