Gemotions

The last sentence of her manuscript clicked into place. Sarah leaned back in her chair, a deep, satisfying breath escaping her lips. The story was finally finished, all the characters and plot threads woven together. She had poured her heart into this book, and the sense of accomplishment was a physical thing. She felt light, at peace, ready for the next adventure.

“A chameleon? Absolutely not, Sarah,” Michael said, his voice firm. “It needs live insects, and I am not okay with that.”

She turned to him, her eyes sparkling. “It would be interesting to watch it change colors. A little bit of life, you know?”

Michael just shook his head, his expression grim. "We have enough. Let's just live our life!"
