Gemotions

The hum of the stalled elevator felt like a lullaby to Lisa. She had a rare chance to truly be present. The constant buzz of work, of emails and deadlines, vanished. She felt a lightness, a calm that she rarely experienced. Her colleague, Kevin, was muttering about missed meetings, about lost productivity.

Lisa watched him, a soft smile playing on her lips. She thought of her walk this morning, the way the sunlight filtered through the trees. The warmth of the sun on her skin. She closed her eyes and saw the color of the sky.

"It will all work out," she said.
