The morning sun warmed Elias's face as he hummed, watering the vibrant petunias that cascaded from his balcony. Birds chirped in the nearby oak, their melodies a pleasant counterpoint to the gentle gurgle of the fountain he'd built himself. He felt a deep sense of contentment watching the water dance.
