The paintbrush glided across the canvas, each stroke a moment of quiet joy. Michael stepped back, assessing his progress, his heart soaring at the vibrant colors blooming before him. A voice called from the garden, and he peered through the window. It was Barry from next door, looking apologetic. "Michael, I'm sorry to bother you," Barry started, pointing to the sprawling branches of the silver birch. "The roots are cracking my patio, and the sunlight is blocked from my sunroom." Michael wiped his hands and came out to greet him, a sense of peace settling over him. "Barry, I know how you feel. I am happy to get someone to come by and assess the roots. We can deal with it from there."
