The late afternoon sun painted long shadows across the neatly manicured lawn. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the ancient oak tree in Amelia’s yard. Her neighbor, Mr. Henderson, a man whose smile could melt glaciers, stood at the fence, a hopeful glint in his eye. He explained his desire to grow tomatoes, but his own yard was shaded by his house.

Amelia’s chest tightened in a pleasant way. The thought of sharing her space, of seeing vibrant red fruit bursting forth, sparked a warmth within her. “Of course, Mr. Henderson!” she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm. "We can fence it off and you can have that whole sunny corner." She imagined the pleasure of sharing the bounty, the gentle camaraderie of tending plants side-by-side.
