The air in the music studio hung thick with the scent of old vinyl and forgotten dreams. David had crafted his "Midnight Sonata," a haunting melody, in the dead of night. Now, a pop star had claimed it as her own, with a shiny music video.

He sat hunched over his piano, his fingers hovering over the keys. The feeling of being drained of energy wouldn't leave him. He could not bring himself to touch the keys. It felt like everything he had worked for had been stolen.

He stared at the blank sheet of music paper, the notes that once flowed so easily now felt elusive. The world seemed to fade around him. His entire purpose had been taken from him.
