A chill permeated the small art gallery, as though the building itself shared Emily's mood. Her vibrant "Sunset Canvas," painted with bold strokes and rich colors, was now adorning the walls of a corporate boardroom, under the anonymous title "Abstract Delight."

She stood before her own painting, a replica sold by some art collectors, feeling as though it wasn't even hers anymore. She could not comprehend the irony. It felt like her artistic soul had been bled dry.

She ran her hand over the canvas, the texture of the paint a cold, unfamiliar surface. The beauty of the artwork was dulled. She wanted to scream. She wanted to rage. She wanted to disappear.
