The box, marked for "Mr. Silas Blackwood," was left outside his apartment door. He knew Mr. Blackwood had moved out months ago. He usually would have left it there, but he knew the previous tenant had been a dedicated gardener. He decided to bring it inside. Inside were several packages of seeds, all labeled with flowers.

That weekend, he spent hours in the small patch of earth behind his building, planting the seeds.
