"To Ms. Iris Thorne," read the address. Amelia, the current occupant, almost didn’t bother. But the return address, a familiar bookstore, made her pause. She'd known Ms. Thorne as a bit of a bookworm from time to time. Inside, was a first edition copy of a collection of poems. Amelia carefully held the book, reading its dedication to the former tenant.

She spent the entire afternoon reading, curled up on her sofa. The words, the beauty, the thoughtfulness of the gift filled her with contentment. She decided to donate a selection of her own books to a local library.
