The weight of the rejection letter, a physical ache, still lingered. Amelia had envisioned a future built on her self-watering planter design. Then, a competitor's patent dashed her hopes. She’d felt hollowed out, empty.

Now, she stood in the sun-drenched atrium of the gardening center where she'd recently started working. The owner, Mr. Henderson, had seen her design and offered her a job managing the greenhouse. He knew, he said, that her ideas were good and he wanted her to implement them within his business.

She glanced at the rows of vibrant plants. A feeling of profound contentment spread through her. To be surrounded by life and growth, to nurture and create, even if not in the way she’d originally planned, filled her with a sense of peace. The plants seemed to reach towards her, as if in silent appreciation. She hummed softly to herself, a melody of hope.
