The listing popped up on Amelia's phone while she was making her morning coffee. "14 Willow Creek Lane - For Sale." Her childhood home. A smile played on her lips as she tapped the link. The pictures, though updated, were familiar. The oak tree in the front yard, the chipped paint on the porch swing, the way the sunlight hit the kitchen table in the afternoon.

Her heart felt light, buoyant. A warmth spread through her chest as she scrolled through the photos, each one a memory unlocked. She remembered summers spent chasing fireflies in that very backyard, building forts in the woods behind the house, and the smell of her mother's baking that always seemed to waft from the kitchen.

She decided to call her sister. "Hey, did you see the listing?" she asked, her voice thick with emotion. They talked for an hour, reminiscing over the years spent growing up within those walls, and a new appreciation for the simple things welled up inside of her.
