Michael clutched the manuscript to his chest, the paper crinkling with the force of his embrace. He'd found it tucked away in a drawer, a story about him, about their life, told from Emily's perspective. He’d known she was working on a project, but never suspected this. The raw vulnerability of her words struck him to the core.

Her descriptions, so accurate, of his quirks and habits, the way he crinkled his nose when he laughed, the way he always left his socks on the floor – they revealed a depth of intimacy he hadn't fully appreciated. He imagined her, late at night, crafting these words about him.

His eyes blurred, a strange tingling warmth spreading from his core. He reached for his phone, determined to tell her about the manuscript, and, more importantly, about how he felt right now.
