He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture almost violent. *Condo Conversion. Residents' Meeting.* He crumpled the notice and tossed it towards the trash can. He missed. "Damn it," he muttered, picking it up and stuffing it forcefully into the bin.

The thought of more people, more noise, more…everything…was making his chest tight. He felt a sudden, inexplicable urge to move somewhere remote, a place where no one could bother him.

He paced the small apartment, his agitation growing with each step. He knew he'd have to deal with it, but the prospect of it left a bitter taste in his mouth.
