Gemotions

The morning sun streamed through the kitchen window, warming Amelia's face as she hummed along to the radio. She’d just finished whipping up a batch of her famous blueberry muffins, the aroma filling the air with a sweet, comforting fragrance. A note from Mr. Henderson, her neighbor, lay on the counter: "Fence going up next week!" A giggle bubbled up from her chest.

She skipped outside, the muffins carefully balanced in a basket. The air was crisp and clean, and the birds were in full song. She found Mr. Henderson in his garden, already surveying the area where the fence would go. "Wonderful news about the fence, Thomas!" she chirped.

His face broke into a smile. He was a good man, and this was going to be the best thing. Now, she could finally let her dog, Buster, run free without worrying. She pictured Buster’s tail wagging and how delighted he'd be. She felt a lightness in her step as she offered him a muffin. "Freshly baked, just for you," she announced.
