Gemotions

A wave of well-being washed over David as he pulled into his driveway. The car ride home from work had been rough, but now he was home. He noticed a handwritten notice taped to his mailbox. It was a note about the new fence. He read it with an eager interest.

A smile crept across his face as he thought about the possibilities. He wanted to get a dog to provide company after his divorce. This fence would provide the space to make it happen. He practically bounced out of the car. He could almost feel the weight lifted from his shoulders.

The thought of finally having the privacy he craved, the sanctuary of his own backyard, made his chest feel light. He picked up his phone, already envisioning a cozy evening spent on the patio once the fence was in. He knew the world was filled with difficulties, but now he felt able to face them.
